How to Make Your Computer Fast Without Upgrades

By James Henry Johnson
Computers are great when they are running fast, but as soon as they start to run slow, it's a different story altogether. Slow computers are annoying and it's a huge problem. Luckily, it's a problem which is easily fixed, even without upgrades.
The problem many people face when trying to speed up their PC is that they simply don't know what's causing their system to run slow in the first place. All computers get slower with age, it's a fact of a computer's life... but in many PCs, this slowing can happen a lot faster due to the reason behind it. The problem is that computers are prone to collecting a lot of junk files. Each time you use your PC, many junk files are accumulated, making your computer spend longer trying to find the files it needs.
One of the biggest culprits of this problem is a part of Windows called the 'registry'. This is the central database for Windows, which stores all the settings and options for your computer. Everything from your latest emails to your desktop background are kept in this database, making it one of the most important parts of your PC. Unfortunately, it's also the place which causes your computer to slow down the most.
The problem is that since the registry is so important, Windows is constantly using 100's of registry files to help it do a variety of different things. This is okay, but Windows also gets very confused and ends up saving many of these files wrong, corrupting them and damaging them. This makes the files extremely difficult to read, which slows your computer down. With 1,000's of corrupt files cluttering your average PC, it's easy to see how it's actually the biggest cause of a slow system.
Luckily, because this cause is totally software related, it means that you can actually speed up your PC without having to spend out on any expensive upgrades. All you need to do is use a tool called a 'registry cleaner' to go into your registry and fix any of the problem files that are trapped in there. These registry cleaners are software tools which basically scan every registry file and fix any problems that they find. This allows Windows to quickly find the files it needs, which speeds it up dramatically.
We've found the best registry cleaner to speed up your PC is a tool called RegAce
